Lotus flower
Lamp

The lotus flower lamp was created by using wood veneer. Two different types of wood were used, oak and mahogany. By cutting shapes out of the veneer and bending it, the shape of a lotus flower was formed. 

 

Because of the different characteristics of the wood regarding colour and translucence, a unique lamp is made by stacking the petals in different ways.
